The Tree House, the local children’s advocacy center, received a $1028.54 donation from Faith Fest, the community Christian music festival held annually at Winder First United Methodist Church. The funds were from the 2011 festival which is held the first Saturday of October. Read More

The Hmong New Hope Church held an Angel Tree event, with donations pouring in for children in the community. The event was able to provide three to four gifts for about 140 children in Barrow County. The church also held a 45-minute program with a message about Christ and the Christmas season. In addition, dinners were provided for the children and their families when the gifts were presented.
