Many Americans like to celebrate the nation’s independence with a loud bang or two, and there are tents popping up around the county for the week to help provide local residents with all the legal fireworks they can handle. TNT Fireworks has a tent outside of Walmart run by Melissa and Julie which is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. through Thursday and 8 a.m. to "whenever people stop coming" on Independence Day itself, Friday.

Local fireworks stands would do much better if they were allowed to sell REAL fireworks, not the glorified sparklers that our wonderful state mandates. Georgia would rather see money going to Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.
