WPD charges 6 stores with selling alcohol to minors

Six people in Winder have been cited for selling alcohol to minors, according to a news release. They were charged as part of a Winder Police Department undercover investigation at 20 stores that took place at the end of May. The following people are accused of selling alcohol to a minor without checking identification:

Joynal Abedin from Chevron at 233 N. Broad Street

Rhonda Moon from Winder Package Store at 178 N. Broad Street

Rupal Patel from Big H at 115 King Street

Willie Etheridge from BP at 18 Monroe Highway

Nathan Mitchell from Turtle Creek Package Store at 271 Loganville Highway

Vanessa Newman from Kangaroo at 93 E. May Street
