PAL JAM 2010 slated for Sept. 25
The Auburn/Barrow Police Athletic League (PAL) is laying groundwork once again for another event to benefit the youth of Barrow County. A day packed full of events is slated for Saturday Sept. 25, and admission is free. PAL JAM 2010 will be held at 354 East Broad Street at the Winder lions club fairgrounds/home of the Winder Dixie Youth Baseball, beginning at 10a.m. - 10p.m.

Over 2,500 Blizzards were sold Wednesday at the Winder Dairy Queen during the Kristen Clack Blizzard Benefit. The Benefit was the brainchild of restaurateur Robert Walters, and was designed to raise money for the Apalachee High School senior injured in a car accident in late July. Local children featured on charity broadcast
Two Winder children will share their stories of cancer and survival on the air next weekend during the tenth annual Care-a-Thon. The fundraiser will benefit the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the top childhood cancer and hematology centers in the United States.
