Heritage defeats Apalachee soccer teams Apalachee was not treated very well by their hosts Tuesday night. The Heritage girls defeated the Lady Cats 5-0, while the boys slipped past the Wildcats 3-2. AHS boys win 2-0, girls lose 2-0 at Loganville The Apalachee boys soccer team picked a good time to get their first win. After dropping their first two contests, the Wildcats (1-2 overall, 1-0 Region 8-AAAA) traveled to Region 8-AAAA opponent Loganville and emerged with a 2-0 win. Diamond Cats win in Gwinnett Thirteen might be the Diamond Cats’ lucky number. The bats came alive Wednesday and Friday, and Apalachee (2-1) won its first games of the season by a combined 26 runs, 13 in each contest. “They rallied around each other and finally stepped up,” said Head Coach Mike Cavey.
