Patrols upped after car follows Auburn woman
On Thursday the Auburn Police Department upped its patrolling on Shoshone Court after a woman was allegedly followed by an unmarked Jeep Wrangler. The woman said as she turned on Auburn County-Line Road she noticed a Jeep pulled out behind her and followed her to her house.




Man charged with kidnapping
• Brian Andrew Winkler, 33, of Summer Circle in Douglasville, was arrested on Aug. 26 and charged with simple battery-family violence and kidnapping. Two witnesses said they heard Winkler swearing at his girlfriend. One of the witnesses called police.
