Shell Station clerk robbed at gunpoint
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Shell Station at Loganville Hwy. and Carl Bethlehem Road after two men allegedly robbed the clerk and one customer at gunpoint on Dec. 6. Auburn may put K-9s back on duty
Although the program was discontinued in 2006, the idea of incorporating a dog to aid police in sniffing out drugs is in the works in Auburn and Police Chief Fred Brown is asking for approval from Council to put the K-9 unit back in action.

Barrow County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 537 Chicken Lyle Road on Dec. 2, after William Andrew Norris, Winder, found his 3-year-old German Shepherd named Heidi laying in a pool of her own blood in the dog house and called police.
