Auburn police arrested James Daniel Cunningham, 53, of Auburn, after he allegedly drove his vehicle across the sidewalk, parked in a Handicap parking space and entered the Auburn Express on Oct. 21.
Officers noted the smell of alcohol on Cunningham, but following a field sobriety test and a Breathalyzer, it was determined that Cunningham was not impaired.
Officer Billy Willis, an officer on scene, instructed dispatch to check the driver’s information by name and date of birth.
Cunningham was placed under arrest and charged with one count improper parking in space for persons with disabilities, one count failure to maintain lane and one count driving while suspended or revoked license first offense.
Other incidents in Auburn this week include:
Clint Lamar Richards, 28, was arrested and charged with one count unlawful use of communication facilities for the purpose of an illegal drug transaction.
Police responded to a burglary at 64 Main Street. A lock box, a gold ring and a savings bond were reported stolen for an estimated value of $1,190.
A juvenile complaint at 316 Carter Road.
Daniel Vick, 22, of Auburn was arrested for a warrant service issued by Gwinnett County Probation.

A theft by taking on Oct. 26 at 1125 Bradford Park Drive. A Blue Tooth cell phone, credit cards, $130 in cash and other miscellaneous items was reported missing from the residence. The estimated value missing is $350.
