Do you miss Elvis? Do you long to see the King on stage performing as only he could?
On Saturday, April 17, you can attend a concert to remember at the Barrow County Leisure Services building as "An Evening with the King" will be held with Damon Hendrix and the Lonely Street Band taking the stage.
Reserved seating is available by calling (770) 307-3994 or (404) 583-5300 for the $15 tickets.
Nancy Aloia is among those working to promote the Winder event.
"I am trying to get Damon’s name on the map and need all the help I can get," said Aloia. "He is an awesome singer and does a lot of benefit and charity work and I am trying to help him by putting on this concert."
Damon Hendrix says Elvis has always been his idol, and he hopes he brings to Elvis’ music some of what The King gave to so many.
"I have listened to and loved Elvis Presley all of my life,," says Hendrix. "Elvis’ voice and the power of his music has inspired me to continue his legacy and protect the sacredness of what he brought to the industry."
Hendrix began singing in church at age 5, and began singing Elvis in the sixth grade when he entered a talent show.
"As the years went on, I was involved with several bands ranging from Christian rock to country music," said Hendrix.
His Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) career began in 2002.
"I truly enjoy entertaining and taking people back to the time when Elvis touched their lives," said Hendrix."My goal for the future is to continue to grow as an ETA and continue to help keep ‘The King’ alive through his music."
