As a part of the partnership agreement between Barrow Regional Medical Center and the YMCA of Georgia’s Piedmont, a calendar of health and wellness activities is showcasing some of the special programs and offerings now available.

Enjoy Lunch n Movie with Health Hearts for Women on Wednesday, March 10, at 12:30 p.m.

Healthy eating on the run is slated for Tuesday, March 16, at 6 p.m.

Silver Sneakers will enjoy a Lunch n Learn on Thursday, March 18, at 12:30 p.m. with Dr. Eric Deal, and emergency physician at Barrow Regional Medical Center.

YMCA members can take in a Tuesday, March 23, health fair from 9 a.m. to noon and from 4-7 p.m. A sleep apnea lunch n learn will be presented at 12:30 p.m.

A colon cancer screening and health event is slated for Monday, March 29, with Dr. B.J. Huff Jr., a family practice physician.

Dr. Catherine E. Schwender, urologist with Barrow Regional Medical Center, will present a Wednesday, March 31 lunch n learn.

After school health classes are also being offered.

Barrow Regional Medical Center’s Community Health Fair is set for April 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.
