The Nationwide Tour’s Stadion Athens Classic at UGA needs volunteers to assist with the area’s only professional golf event to be held at the University of Georgia Golf Course the week of April 26- May 2.

All told, more than 400 volunteers are needed to ensure smooth operations of the event. There is no golf experience required to be a volunteer.

Volunteers are charged a nominal fee of $45 to help defray some of the volunteer-related costs, but all will receive a package including clothing, tickets, food and free golf valued at more than $250.

All proceeds from the event will support need-based scholarships for UGA students through the Arch Foundation. In addition, local nonprofit beneficiaries will receive 100 percent of revenue from all ticket sales through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program.

ABOUT THE STADION ATHENS CLASSIC AT UGA

The Stadion Athens Classic at UGA will be held at the University of Georgia Golf Course from April 26-May 2. The event will be operated by the University’s Auxiliary Services Department. The Stadion Athens Classic at UGA will be the only event on the Nationwide Tour that is owned and operated by an institution of higher education.
