Winder council to discuss tap fees
Lazy Daze, Summer's End permits requested

The Winder City Council will be holding a work session on Monday prior to its monthly meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The work session agenda has some discussion and voting items on it, including:

The city is discussing employee recognition for Records Clerk Elaine Turner.

Also on the discussion list is tap fees.

For voting items, event permits for the Summer’s End 5000 Race, sponsored by Winder-Barrow Brad Akins YMCA is at the top of the list, followed by the Lazy Daze Music Festival event permit.

There also will be a resolution to approve the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public and from open containers at the July 25 Lazy Daze Music Festival.

In addition, Melrose Pyrotechnics is seeking an event permit for the festival.

Also, the Fats, Oils and Grease ordinance fee schedule will be discussed.

The City will also discuss open records requests fees.

There will be discussion of a public works surplus item.

The last voting item will be to adopt a legal level of budget control.

The city will discuss these items on the Monday meeting, which will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Center, before the Tuesday meeting.

The public is invited to attend both gatherings.
