Beth Horacek didn’t get her 40-hour suspension lifted, but the Barrow County Personnel Board who reviewed her case did say they did not believe she was untruthful.
According to the decision, "the Personnel Review Board finds that the County has met its burden and that all procedures were followed and we uphold the Suspension given to Beth Horacek on April 6, 2009, however the Personnel Review Board does not believe Beth Horacek was untruthful in her information provided to the Board of Commissioners. We agree that she failed to provide all the information that she had available. While we, as the Personnel Review Board, believe some disciplinary action was appropriate, our decision would have first been to consider a written reprimand versus a suspension."
