Twenty-nine-year-old Clint Lamar Richards of Auburn is facing burglary and entering auto charges after police caught him snooping through a shed behind 330 Wages Road. Richards had keys to the shed and to a white Ford truck that was parked outside of it.
Initially Richards told police he had permission to be in the shed and that he was given the keys by "Mr. Carter," who is deceased.
Sandra Carter is the executor over the estate and told police that no one except her has permission to be on the property.
Richards was transported to the Auburn Police Department for questioning and booking paperwork. During an interview he told police he admitted to burglarizing the shed and truck in search of some methamphetamines that a mutual friend had stashed there, according to the police report.
The friend that Richards mentioned is currently incarcerated.
