The American Street Rodders Car Club will host a cruise-in Saturday, June 13, at Hoschton Towne Center Shopping Center.

Registration starts at 5 p.m. Come and enjoy looking at the classic and antique cars – from hot rods, customs and factory originals, but don’t touch. There is no charge for cruisers or spectators.

"Browse at the gift shops or keep the cravings away by having a meal at one of the restaurants, or enjoy delicious ice cream from the ice cream parlor," said Vice President Pete Frey.

Great oldies music from the era will keep the cruise-in rocking with DJ Dave keeping the entertainment going and tunes spinning. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday night for anyone of any age.

The American Street Rodders Car Club is a family-oriented organization, created to provide a forum for individuals who enjoy sharing their interest in automobiles, reflecting the Cruisin’ 50’s and 60’s era, and who will enjoy and seek the fellowship of other individuals.

Membership information is available at the website www.americanstreetrodders.net

Cruise-ins are held the second Saturday of every month starting in April and finishing in October, and the annual car show is Sept. 26. American Street Rodders and Hayes Automotive will be part of the Hoschton Fall Festival, a day of cars, parade, booths and entertainment.

The car club is made up of people of all ages, with cars of all makes, models and years.

"Cool cars, great friends, good times, lotsa cruizin’ and giving back to the community pretty much sums up the Rodders," said President Robert Preston. "If you’re looking for an active club, you’re at the right place."

Other 2009 officers are Jackie Kirkley, secretary; and Colleen Welch, treasurer.

For more information, write to American Street Rodders, P.O. Box 654, Hoschton, GA 30548 or call Robert Preston at (678) 963-0664 or Pete Frey at (770) 614-9049.
