Undercover operations seize $25,000 in drugs

Within the time span of two weeks the Auburn Police Narcotics Unit along with the Statham Police Department and the Barrow County Narcotics unit, conducted several undercover operations which netted at least four pounds of marijuana and an undetermined amount of powder cocaine.

The amount of drugs seized are worth an estimated $25,000.

Authorities also seized two pistols and a subject wanted out of Barrow County during the operation. A female juvenile was also arrested on two counts of sale of marijuana charges.

All subjects were transported to the Barrow County Jail following their arrest and the arrests were conducted during separate undercover operations.

Among those charged were:

Melvin Douglas Gray, Auburn, sale of cocaine

Tiffany Ray, Dacula, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, sale of marijuana and felony possession of marijuana

Curtis Fant, Suwanee, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and felony possession charges

Christopher Redding, Carrollton, sale of cocaine

Kimberly Lentz, Carrollton, sale of cocaine

Wesley Sumpter, Winder, criminal attempt to possess marijuana, possession of firearm by a convicted felon and outstanding warrants out of Barrow County

Kelsey Robinson, Lawrenceville, sale of marijuana, possession with intent and felony possession charges

Sharita Simkins, Lawrenceville, sale of marijuana, possession with intent and felony possession charges

Mathew Anderson, Dacula, sale of marijuana and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony
