San Francisco, CA – This past Saturday, Batter Blaster™, the revolutionary new breakfast product, broke the Guinness World Records™ "Most Pancakes Made in 8 Hours" by making 76,382 pancakes and serving approximately 20,000 people.

To break the record, 38 griddles were used to cook almost 6,000 pounds of batter. Hungry attendees topped their pancakes with 136 gallons of maple syrup and 365 pounds of butter. Pancakes were washed down with more than 1,000 gallons of water and orange juice.

The event, held in Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, broke the previous record set in February 2009 by the Lions Club of Lubbock, Texas. Over the course of eight hours, they served 66,549 pancakes to approximately 17,000 people.

"We knew the people of Atlanta would support our attempt, but we had no idea they would help us blow the record away," says Sean O’Connor, founder and CEO of Batter Blaster. "We are so grateful to the Atlantans who came out to help cook and eat – and are thrilled to be able to share this accomplishment with them."

While the event was free, it was held in partial support of Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization dedicated to rescue, restore and re-stabilize at-risk and homeless individuals and families so they can thrive and become self-sufficient.

Hosea was on site taking donations from attendees, and those donations, combined with a donation from Batter Blaster, raised much needed funds for the organization. Many of the people that Hosea strives to assist were also able to attend the event and enjoy breakfast throughout the day.

Since launching in 2007, Batter Blaster has been sweeping the nation with its innovative approach to pancakes and waffles. Each 18-oz. can of Batter Blaster makes approximately 28 4-inch light and fluffy pancakes or eight crisp and airy waffles in minutes.

It uses the highest-quality USDA Certified Organic ingredients, including Certified Humane cage-free organic eggs. The propellant in the pressurized can contains no ozone-depleting CFCs, and the cans are made of recyclable steel.
