This Saturday, the Farmers Market will continue on the side lawn next to City Hall and will run concurrently with a Community Yard Sale.

The yard sale begins at 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and spaces are $10. Set-up begins at 7a.m. and all folks are encouraged to just come on out and set up a booth. Fees will be collected once everyone is in place.

In a previously published report, a children’s booth that was held at Auburn’s first Farmers Market event was referred to as being sponsored by Home Booth when in fact it was sponsored by Homeport Farm Mart.

At the booth, children were given the opportunity to plant a bean to take home. Saturday the market will run concurrently with the community yard sale event.

"Last month was our first [community yard sale] and it was a big success," said Charlotte Ewing, Parks and Leisure Services coordinator. "The crowds came almost all day. There will also be a Spring Gardening Expo going on next to City Hall. This will be great for everyone," she said.
