Four out of five sentences due to drug abuse offenses

Barrow County Superior Court records include sentences recently handed down by Superior Court Judges. Among those sentenced are:

Phillip Boss plead guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to five months to serve.

James David Wilkins plead guilty to selling methamphetamine and was sentenced to 10 years; two years to serve with credit for time served and eight years probation and a $1,500 fine.

Charles Wade Polson plead guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced to four years probation and a fine of $1,000.

Timothy Harris plead guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and was sentenced to 10 years; four months to serve with credit for time served and nine years, eight months probation and $2,000 fine.

Travis Kareem Kinney plead guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and was cleared of trafficking charges.

Kinney was sentenced to 30 years; 10 years to serve and 20 years probation. Kinney was also ordered to pay a fine of $20,000.
