Superior Court Judges hand down sentences

Barrow County Superior Court records include sentences recently handed down by Superior Court Judges. Among those sentenced are:

Jamie Michelle Carroll plead guilty to possession of hydrocodone, possession of carisoprodol, DUI, obstruction charges, interference with government property and driving with a suspended license. Carroll was cleared of possession of methamphetamine charges and was sentenced to three years to serve, to be suspended upon completion of in-patient program, and seven years probation. Carroll was also ordered to pay $4,000 in fines and has credit for time served in in-patient program.

William Alvis Jones plead guilty to three counts of 1st degree forgery and was sentenced to five years probation and five years concurrent and $2,000 in fines.

Tiffany R. Mathis plead guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to 12 months probation, is banned from Winder except to report to probation officer and was fined $300.

Laven Patrick Parker plead guilty to simple battery and disorderly conduct and was cleared of simple assault charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation and 12 months concurrent, to attend weekly AA meetings and to pay fines totaling $750.

Gregory Wayne Wheeler plead guilty to expired tag charges and was cleared of suspended registration and no insurance charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation and $150 fine.

Ruby Lois Minish plead guilty to habitual violations and was cleared of driving with a suspended license and was sentenced to 12 months probation and $500 fine.

Mark Marty Moore plead guilty to theft by taking and was cleared of criminal trespass and was sentenced to 12 months probation, no contact with victim and $500 fine.

Thomas William Healan Jr. plead guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to 12 months probation and $750 fine.

Nou Chang Vang plead guilty to speeding and was cleared of obstruction and refusal to sign citation charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation and $300 fine.

Ryan Michael Fisher plead guilty to DUI charges and was cleared of failure to maintain lane and no brake lights and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a $750 fine.

Brenda Housmer plead guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a fine of $500.

Joshua Healan plead guilty to disorderly conduct charges and was cleared of one count disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 12 months probation, to obtain a GED and $400 fine.

Brandon Michael Pozensy plead guilty to shoplifting and was sentenced to 12 months probation and $400 fine.

Ronald Oliver Nicholson plead guilty to battery and DUI charges and was cleared of driving with a suspended license and was sentenced to 24 months probation with 30 days confinement and credit for time served. Nicholson was also ordered to have no violent contact with the victim and to pay two fines of $750.

Richard Darren Atha plead guilty to theft by taking and was sentenced to 12 months probation, no contact with victim and a $400 fine.

Parker James Worthy plead guilty to failure to maintain lane and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a fine of $250.

Joshua Melvin Healan plead guilty to possession of marijuana and was cleared of bringing marijuana within guard lines and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a $500 fine.

Darrin Demetrius Ellison plead guilty to driving with a suspended license and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a $700 fine.

Michael Lee Barnes plead guilty to disorderly conduct and giving false information to and was cleared of one count giving false info and was sentenced to 12 months probation and 12 months concurrent and two fines equaling $600.

Christopher Logan Barnette plead guilty to possession of marijuana charges and was cleared of sale of marijuana charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a fine of $750.

Steven Underwood plead guilty to violation of TPO charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation, no violent contact with victim and a $500 fine.

Sheri B. Ledbetter plead nolo contendere to reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and improperly working head lights and was cleared of driving without a license and was sentenced to 12 months probation, 12 months concurrent and 12 months probation and was ordered to pay $750, $300 and $250.

Shane Richard Helms plead guilty to too fast for conditions and weaving over roadway and was cleared of reckless driving, DUI and no proof of insurance charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation, 12 months concurrent and fines equaling $2,000.

Angela Deborah Tommie plead guilty to DUI charges and merged DUI less safe charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation, 24 hours to serve with credit for time served and the remainder to be served on probation and $75o in fines.

Usie Gean Robinson plead guilty to giving false information and was sentenced to 31 days confinement.

Vickey Sue Smith plead guilty to five counts of 1st degree forgery and was sentenced to six years probation, six years concurrent, $1,000 fine and restitution of $700 to the victim. Smith also plead guilty in a separate sentencing to criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 12 months probation, 12 months concurrent to felony case, substance abuse treatment and $1,000 in fines.

Royce Wilburn plead guilty to one count 1st degree forgery, giving false information and shoplifting charges and merged two other counts of 1st degree forgery and was cleared of possession of drug related objects. Wilburn was sentenced to three years confinement and seven years probation with three years concurrent, 12 months concurrent and credit for time served. Wilburn was also ordered to pay $1,000 fine and restitution to the victim.

Matthew Allen Sargent plead guilty to theft by receiving charges, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana charges and was cleared of possession of a controlled substance charges, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges and possession of a firearm during commission of certain crimes charges. Sargent was sentenced to 10 years, 10 years concurrent, 10 years concurrent and 12 months concurrent; three years 12 months to be served in confinement, with credit for time served and seven years to be served on probation. Sargent was also ordered to pay $3,000 in fines.

Maylon Joe Wilson plead guilty to possession of methamphetamines and was cleared of false imprisonment charges and simple assault charges and was sentenced to 10 years probation, concurrent with probation revocation. Wilson plead guilty to theft by taking in a separate sentencing and was sentenced to 10 years concurrent with probation revocation and to pay $1,000 fine. In a separate sentencing Wilson plead guilty to theft by taking charges and was sentenced to 10 years concurrent and to pay $1,000.

Debra Lynn Hayes plead guilty/nolo contendere to obstruction charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation to be terminated after paying a fine of $500.

Johnny Allan Adams plead guilty to possession of methamphetamine, possession of dihydrocodeinone, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, obstruction of officers, original container charges, giving false identification to law enforcement and possession of drug related object. Adams was sentenced to 20 years, 12 months concurrent to serve two years, two years concurrent, 12 months concurrent and eight years to be served on probation with eight years concurrent. Adams was also ordered to pay $2,000.

Tevin Young plead guilty of burglary and was sentenced to 20 years concurrent to other sentencings, five years to serve and 15 years to be served on probation with credit for time served, no contact with victim or victims property, $1,000 fine and restitution of $259.92. In another sentencing Young plead guilty to burglary and was sentenced to 20 years concurrent with five years to be served in confinement with credit for time served and 15 years probation, no contact with victim of victim’s property, $1,000 fine and $865.54 in restitution. Young plead guilty to two counts burglary, theft by recovering stolen property, theft by receiving stolen property and obstruction of officers in a separate sentencing and was sentenced to 20 years, 20 years concurrent, 10 years concurrent and 12 months concurrent with five years to be served in confinement, five years concurrent with credit for time served and 15 years probation, 15years concurrent, five years concurrent and 12 months concurrent. Young was also ordered to have no contact with the victim or the victim’s property and $1,000 fine, $1,700 restitution, $1,000 fine, $1,730 restitution and $300 restitution. In a separate sentencing Young plead guilty to theft by taking and was sentenced to 12 months concurrent to previous sentencings, no contact with victim and $270 restitution.

Robert James Gregory plead guilty to financial transaction fraud and was cleared of financial transaction card theft and was sentenced to three years probation, three years concurrent and $2,000 in fines.

William Scott Allen plead guilty to 1st degree forgery, giving false name to law enforcement and open container charges and was sentenced to 10 years probation with 12 months concurrent and $1,500 in fines.

Debra Lynn Hayes plead guilty to obstruction charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation and $500 fine.

Robert Keith Rice plead guilty to DUI less safe charges, speeding in a construction zone and operating a vehicle without valid tags and was cleared of VGCSA charges and possession of a dangerous drug charges and was sentenced to 12 months, 12 months concurrent and 12 months concurrent, DUI school and $1,200 in fines.

Teresa W. Allen plead guilty to original container charges and was cleared of possession of a controlled substance charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
