Barrow County Sheriff’s Office cracks down on alcohol and drug offenses

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests:

Afrian Maqueda-Mejia, 18, was arrested and charged with driving while unlicensed and failure to stop at a sign

Kristin D. Maddox, 18, of Bethlehem, was arrested on shoplifting charges

Jessica Nykole Bryant, 18, of Bethlehem, was arrested and charged with shoplifting charges

William Stanley Delaney, 48, of Statham, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, no seat belt and unregistered vehicle charges

Ian Tyler Cunningham, 21, Cumming, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness

Charles Windell Patton, 45, of Winder, was arrested and charged with simple battery

Matthew Edward Sigler, 23, of Statham, was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane

Terry Lee Glenn, 49, Winder, was arrested and charged with simple assault

Roberta Diane Newell, 55, of Winder, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct

Tommy Gerald Johnson, 51, Winder, was arrested and charged with DUI, open container, suspended driver’s license and failure to obey person directing traffic

Cynthia Ann Burnett, 48, Winder, was arrested and charged with DUI

Stephanie Dawn Church, 37, Winder, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce

Eliseo Sandoval, 22, Winder, was arrested and charged with DUI and too fast for conditions

Varian Hayes, 29, Bethlehem, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness

Todd Timothy Caywood Jr., 20, Winder, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce

BSO also responded to the following incidents:

A criminal damage to property complaint

Six simple battery/assault incidents

Marijuana plants were discovered growing on a track of property

Report of a rape

Two fraud complaints

A forgery incident

A criminal attempt

Three reports of a burglary

Five domestic incidents/disputes

Fourteen theft-related incidents

Five verbal disputes

An entering auto complaint

A juvenile complaint

A suicide attempt

An unruly juvenile

A runaway juvenile

Complaint of terroristic threats and acts

Two reports of receiving harassing phone calls

Eight criminal trespass complaints

An abandoned vehicle complaint
