Barrow County Superior Court records include sentences recently handed down by Superior Court Judges. Among those sentenced are:
Romilio Hernandez Vail was found guilty of battery and simple battery and was sentenced to two consecutive years probation and two fines totaling $1,500. Vail was also ordered to have no violent contact with the victim.
Robert Davis was found guilty of obstruction and sentenced to one year probation with some credit for time served applied, no contact with the victim and a fine of $1,000.
Inginac Walter Theodore was found guilty of driving with a suspended license and ordered a Nolle Prosequi on a safety belt violation. Theodore was sentenced to one year probation with 48 hours credit for time served and was ordered to pay a fine of $750.
Justin Michael Hoffmeister was found guilty of battery and simple battery and received a Nolle Prosequi order on charges of cruelty to children in the third degree and simple assault. Hoffmeister was sentenced to one year to serve, 45 days confinement with one year credit for time served for the battery charges and one year probation on the charge of simple battery. Hoffmeister was also ordered to have no violent contact with the victims, who are family members, and was ordered to pay two fines totaling $1,000.
Barry Vincent Watkins was found guilty of theft by receiving property and was sentenced to 10 years, one year to serve in confinement and nine years probation with credit for time served. Watkins was also fined $1,000.
Alton Sinclair Campbell was found guilty of possession of oxycodone, possession of alprazolam, possession of cyclobenzaprine and an open container violation. Campbell was cleared of three charges of possession of a controlled substance and two charges of drugs to be kept in original container. Campbell was sentenced to a total of 10 years for all counts, to be served on probation. Campbell was also given a total of four fines totaling $3,000.
Danny Lewis Morrow was found guilty of habitual violations and DUI on Feb. 13. Morrow was cleared of obstruction charges and was sentenced to a total of six years, one year to serve-12 months consecutive and four years probation with credit for time served. Morrow was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation and treatment and pay a $1,500 fine. Morrow was also sentenced to special conditions of intensive probation supervision, which may include submitting to random breath, urine and blood specimen tests for the analysis of presence of prohibited drugs or alcohol.
Michael Patrick Walker was found guilty to a lesser offense of theft by taking and sentenced to 10 years, two years to serve and eight years probation with credit for time served. Walker was also ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and a restitution fee amounting to $1,045.
William Franklin Nelson was found guilty of theft by taking and sentenced to 10 years with two years to serve and the remaining eight years to be served on probation with credit for time served. It was also recommended by the Court that Nelson be sent to a transition center prior to release. Nelson was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and a restitution fee of $500 and $3,808.
Steven Thompson was found guilty of one count of burglary and three counts of theft by taking and was cleared of three counts of burglary and one count of theft by taking. Thompson was sentenced to 20 years on count one, 10 years on count four, 10 years on count six and 10 years on count eight. Thompson’s was sentenced to serve two years confinement with the remaining time to be served on probation. Thompson was also fined a total of $2,000 with restitution fees totaling $6,869.
Hector Taurus Lewis was found guilty of selling marijuana and possession of marijuana and sentenced to a total of 25 years, five years consecutive, to be served on probation. Lewis was also sentenced to special conditions of intensive probation supervision which may include counseling, treatment and random drug testing. Lewis was also ordered to pay three fines totaling $2,500.
Gerardo Villordo was found guilty of burglary and cleared of theft by taking charges. Villordo has not been previously convicted of a felony therefore under first offender treatment, no judgement of guilt was imposed and Villordo was sentenced to confinement for one year, suspended upon three months and placed on probation for 14 years with credit for time served. Villordo was also fined $2,000 and ordered to undergo evaluations and testing related to rehabilitation. Villordo was ordered to pay restitution fees totaling $6,869.
Roosevelt King Jr. was found guilty of aggravated assault, theft by taking and battery. King was cleared of aggravated stalking, two counts of simple battery and two counts of theft by taking. King was sentenced to 15 years, twelve months and twelve more months consecutive. King was sentenced to serve four months with the remaining 14 years, eight months to be served on probation. King was ordered to have no contact with the victim and pay fines totaling $1,500.
Cammie Smallwood was found guilty of possession of cocaine and sentenced to 10 years, one year served and nine years probation. Smallwood was also ordered to complete six-eight months of in-patient rehab and pay a fine of $1,000. Smallwood will remain in custody until accepted into a rehabilitation center.
Sandra Leenell Thompson was found guilty of theft by receiving stolen property and sentenced to seven years probation and a fee of $1,000. There was also a dismissal of a warrant.
Brian Malosh was found guilty of burglary and criminal damage to property second degree and sentenced to 25 years with two years served and 23 years probation, suspension upon completing 12 months IPS. Malosh was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and restitution fees totaling $1,000.
Mark Hardy was found guilty of burglary and sentenced to 10 years with two years served and eight years probation, suspended upon completion of 120-180 days in detention center. Hardy was also fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $700 in restitution fees. Hardy will remain in custody until accepted into a detention center.
Ronnie Atha was found guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and sentenced to 10 years with one year served and nine years served on probation, with credit for time served. Atha was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine.
