Young Harris College

Christina Kelley of Auburn has been cast in the Theatre Young Harris College production of "Into the Woods."  

Christina plays Snow White in this fractured fairy tale full of music, action, romance and irreverent humor. 

Christina, a sophomore at Young Harris College and a graduate of Apalachee High School, is the daughter of Clay and Beverly Kelley of Auburn.  She is the granddaughter of Dave and Anne Nelson of Royston and Jessie and Lillian Kelley of Marietta.

 "Into the Woods" will be presented Feb. 26, 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. in the Hilda D. Glenn Auditorium on the campus of Young Harris College. 

Featuring songs by Stephen Sondheim, "Into the Woods" won three Tony Awards and a Grammy Award.  The original Broadway production starred Bernadette Peters and ran for 764 performances.

Tickets for "Into the Woods" are $15 and are on sale at the Young Harris Theatre Box Office.  For reservations or ticket information call (706) 379-4307.

Tickets may be available on the evening of the performance; however, advanced reservations are strongly recommended.

Honor Society, UGA

The Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society has selected Nicholas H. (Nick) Helfrick for membership in the local chapter at the University of Georgia.

A graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, Helfrick is the son of Angela and Jeff Kelley of Winder.

He is a political science major at UGA and plans to pursue his master’s upon graduation or enter law school.

Delta Epsilon Iota was established in order to recognize and encourage academic excellence in all fields of study.

The organization rewards outstanding students through financial scholarships, provides leadership opportunities to its members and promotes the principles of dedication, enthusiasm and initiative among students participating in higher education throughout the United States.

Students qualify on the basis of academic achievement. Prospective members must have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours at an accredited college or university, while maintaining a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or a scholastic ranking within the top 15 percent of their class.

Delta Epsilon Iota’s membership is comprised of outstanding scholars attending many of the finest colleges and universities in the country.

Kaplan University

Kelly Bradley of Winder, has been awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University.
