Construction of Auburn’s City Hall is in full swing and the offices are slowly, but surely, reopening for business.
City employees moved back into City Hall on Friday and the new Downtown Development Authority (DDA) held its first meeting in the new conference room on Wednesday night, paint fumes still lingering.
A Christmas tree sits at the front of the newly renovated City Hall and the new front desk area is complete and already decorated for the season.
A Cut Above was contracted by the city to complete the job.
Renovations include four new offices, a conference room and an expanded reception area.
Council Chambers now share the Courtroom and a new bench graces the area built by Georgia Millworks.
Council meetings and all other public meetings, from now on, will be held in the Council Chambers/Courtroom at the Auburn Police Department.
